The advantages of lithium-ion batteries in the city are obvious. The city has more than 10 lithium-ion battery production enterprises and a number of mainstream supporting enterprises, forming a complete industrial chain covering material precursors, positive electrodes, negative electrodes, electrolytes, diaphragms, shells, battery management systems, etc., applying for more than 3000 patents and more than 1500 invention patents, with a sales revenue of more than 20 billion yuan in 2015.
In addition, Tianjin also has a number of national test and detection institutions for new energy vehicles. The pure electric drive system, battery compatibility test and vehicle collision test rank at the international advanced level, and the performance and safety test and detection level of power battery rank at the forefront of China. The China Automotive Technology Research Center and the 18th Institute of China Power Group, located in this city, are the leading units in the formulation of China's new energy vehicle and battery standard system, and have formulated more than 80 national and industrial standards. In the middle of this month, Tianjin Binhai high tech Industrial Development Zone, CICC Cathay Pacific Equity Investment Fund Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Jinshajiang capital signed a cooperation agreement in Tianjin to jointly establish a special fund for Tianjin new energy vehicles with a total amount of 10 billion yuan, which is specially used to invest in new energy vehicles and related fields.
